Tutzor is one of the most influential design resource

proofhq.com has named tutzor.com as one of the most influential design resource websites! We are so proud for our team, who have been very supportive and contributive towards our growth. Thank you guys!

Photoshop is a continuously learning process. Anybody can learn how to use photoshop, but it doesnt necessarily mean that you know how to design. The fundamental cores of design are experience and instinct. And the best place to share and learn these experiences are through these tutorials. We learned a lot from others tutorials in the past, now, it's our turn to share and learn new tutorials. Check out our tutorials.

Talented young Graphic Designer - Cosmin Coita

Today, we get a chance to sit down and do a little interview with Cosmin Coita. Some of you might wonder who Cosmin is. Well, he is the man behind most of the great tutorials on our website, namely: Creating Apocalyptic Scene, How to use Puppet Warp . :) Not only he is talented, he is also very creative. Let's take a look on what inspires him in his works.

So, Cosmin can you tell us a little about yourself?

Currently I'm a student in 2nd year at Faculty of Visual Arts, Design. I was the first candidtate  out of  50 candidates accepted in the faculty after presenting a small portfolio and passed the 6 hours drawing exam. The main subjects am studying are so far: Graphic design, product design and ambiental design. I also graduated the Art high school and during my years of studies I have obtained the certificate in industrial design, which is a certificate for the years of design I studied. My project was in product design, and I have improved and designed a new laptop, which you can see the attached image. The laptop you see here is a model made from polystyrene and the graphics are done by me as well.

Very impressive! What's your interests nowadays?

My main interest now, is in graphic design and I have good skills in Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw and Adobe Illustrator. I also have a little knowledge of 3D Studio Max, because I need it for faculty projects mostly. I started to use photoshop about 5 or 6 years ago, but the first years were just for fun, I never taught I could earn money by working with it. I’ve made my first real photo manipulation about 3 or 4 years ago. You can see bellow the manipulation and the original image.

This is where all began and I can say that it’s a real progress since then as you can see from the tutorials I’ve made. What helped me a lot in developing my photoshop skills were the hand drawing classes in high school because the drawing objects that I saw, made me understand how the shape looks in details and how shadows work.

After Photoshop, I continued on learning Corel draw. I've heard many great things about Corel draw for working with vector illustration. It's only natural for me to do combination between this two softwares when I work with vectors.

Very inspiring! Do you have a portfolio?

I’m currently a freelance graphic designer, I don’t have a website of my own yet but I do have an odesk profile, the place from where I get my projects.

I’m glad that I had the chance to work with Joko, because making these tutorials was a great opportunity for me to learn new stuff.

Any advice for our users?

If you are really passionate about it just practice real hard every day. The cool thing is that I never get bored of it, it’s like a game, hope it’s going to be the same for you.
